The challenge

One Commerce Platform for Eight Distinct Brand Histories

Recognized by consumers among America's favorite craft brands, iLoveToCreate brings together familiar creative names including Tulip, Aleene's, COLORSHOT, Scribbles and Puffy Paint. Its digital presence spanned eight different brand websites and multiple platforms, each with unique URL patterns, content schemas, product catalogs and legacy customer and order data.

  • Eight legacy websites across Wix, WordPress, Shopify and custom systems
  • Existing Google rankings for product and editorial pages
  • Thousands of blogs, tutorials, images and video embeds
  • More than 500 products with differing legacy data structures
  • Large customer datasets and deduplication considerations
  • Extensive historical orders and customer associations
  • ERP, Klaviyo and related commerce integrations

Protecting Years of Search Visibility

Established product pages, DIY guides and blog posts already had search visibility. Moving domains and restructuring URLs required deliberate redirect mapping, metadata planning and content parity checks to reduce unnecessary organic search disruption. No specific ranking outcome is claimed without verified Search Console data.

Content and Data Were Not Standardized

Thousands of tutorials and articles used different templates, image dimensions, videos and page structures. Product data, customer records and extensive historical orders also needed mapping to Shopify-compatible models without losing business context.

Our role

A Platform Consolidation, Not Just a Storefront Redesign

Geocommerce led the technical work of consolidating separate brand experiences into a consistent Shopify ecosystem, with SEO, catalog and content integrity, historical data and integration dependencies treated as core migration concerns.

01

Multi-Platform Consolidation

Consolidated the legacy Wix, WordPress, Shopify and custom-site landscape into a single Shopify storefront and shared navigation architecture.

02

SEO-Sensitive URL Migration

Approached URL mapping, redirects, metadata and internal links deliberately to protect existing product and editorial discoverability.

03

Unified Editorial Templates

Adapted differing blog and tutorial structures into reusable layouts while accounting for formatting, image sizes, embedded video and complete content transfer.

04

Product Catalog Migration

Mapped more than 500 legacy product records into a standardized catalog with brand-aware organization and commerce-ready merchandising.

05

Customer & Order History

Handled large-scale customer and historical order migration requirements, including mapping, identity associations and reconciliation concerns.

06

ERP & Marketing Integrations

Addressed the connections between Shopify, ERP workflows, Klaviyo and other services required to support ongoing commerce operations.

Migration strategy

Preserve What Matters. Standardize What Scales.

The project combined a unified front-end architecture with behind-the-scenes migration planning. Instead of importing records indiscriminately, each source platform's data and presentation needs informed the consolidated model.

  • Inventory legacy URLs and plan appropriate permanent redirects
  • Map products, categories, metadata and brand associations
  • Unify disparate blog templates into reusable article layouts
  • Preserve editorial text, images, video and tutorial formatting
  • Plan customer identity and duplicate-record handling
  • Map orders and preserve historical relationships where supported
  • Align ERP and Klaviyo data flows with Shopify
  • Review migrated content and cross-device experience

The new experience

Seven Consumer-Facing Brands. One Creative Destination.

The live storefront presents a family of creative brands under one shopping and inspiration experience. Visitors can browse by craft activity, discover step-by-step projects and shop across categories with a shared cart.

01

Discover by Brand or Activity

Shop across tie-dye, paints, adhesives and DIY essentials while retaining recognizable individual brand identities.

02

Explore Project Inspiration

Find tutorials, techniques and educational content through a more consistent editorial experience.

03

Shop from One Destination

Browse products from the brand family and move through a unified commerce journey rather than jumping among independent websites.

04

Manage Through Shopify

A centralized storefront provides a more maintainable foundation for merchandising, campaigns and future content improvements.

"Enterprise migration is about what you preserve, not just what you build: search equity, content, customer history and the business systems behind the storefront."

— Geocommerce Project Team
